"After deciding it was time to move on from Saluda, NC, we started looking all over Western NC for a new home. Something kept pulling us back to our hometown of Rutherfordton. Seeing Town officials and new business owners' excitement in the area got us excited, too! We finally stopped looking and decided to take on this 1910 building on Main St at the end of 2021. We are now fully immersed in Rutherfordton with our home in downtown, Christy’s soap shop right behind the store’s back wall, Steven’s wood shop only two blocks away, and our finally-opened General Store."-Christy and Steven HouserWe are so excited to have Mill Hill General Store in our downtown. If you have not had the opportunity to go visit them yet, we highly recommend you go. You can visit them. Tuesday-Friday: 10AM-6pm and Saturday 10AM-4pm.
